As always, the main thing at a takeout pizza restaurant is the food. You ask, is it any good? The answer is, without a doubt and with a resounding cheesy grin from my partner, the food is much better than good.
My partner and I had a family sized meat lover pizza on a fateful Friday date night, and it surpassed expectations.
The cutesy little 'hole in the wall' pizzeria in the Villanova complex off Wanneroo road had the welcoming family atmosphere you trust, with bubbly and friendly young staff behind the counter and in the kitchen. You can clearly see that the staff are enjoying and thriving in their workplace, and it shines through in the yummy food they deliver, and the way they treat their customers.
Driving home the family feel and small local business energy, the small gallery wall of family pictures was charming and nicely done, adding to the overall aesthetic of the place.
Finally, the kindness and community mindedness of D'Pizza's owners and staff are beyond what is expected. Having previously held free pizza nights for the displaced and less fortunate, and offering free pizzas to community members who are struggling when they have reached out for assistance on social media is incredibly generous, and seeing a local business helping the local community really goes to show what supporting local can do for a community.
We were only able to get one pizza to share today, but we will definitely be back soon to try more off their reasonably priced and fun menu, and branch out to try their pasta menu.
